First Nations Wage Subsidy Program One of the most exciting programs that will run through the YMTA is the First Nations Wage Subsidy Program. The First Nations employees are hired and then trained on-the-job by employers and part of their wages are reimbursed through the wage subsidy program until they are fully qualified for the position. The subsidy is also available to First Nations employees who are already working in the industry and would like to move into more advanced job positions. This program is made possible through the ASEP agreement.
